Lesson Twenty-Four: Identifying Run-ons
This is a very long slideshow
that incorporates a lot of examples. This number of examples would be difficult
to accomplish writing on a whiteboard. With run-ons, I find,
students need to see and examine a lot of examples; the repetition is quite
useful for imprinting these flawed sentence patterns in the students’ minds.
This presentation underwent a substantial revision last semester, but it could still be improved in small ways.
